⚪️ He will be with you always. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
⚪️ Pray, read your daily devotion, journal. The more you take notes of what you have learn you will retain information. Information you can use daily.
Deuteronomy 6:14-25 KJV
14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
19 To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
20 And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
21 Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

You know, there was a time when I honestly thought I could negotiate with God. Maybe you've been there too? I'd pray, 'God, if you just do X, I promise I'll do Y.' It felt like a reasonable exchange, a way to show my sincerity. But over time, I realized something profound, something the original post touched on beautifully: DON'T TRY BARGAINING WITH GOD. It wasn't about Him not wanting to bless me, but about my understanding of what a relationship with Him truly entails. I remember reading in my devotional book, titled fittingly, 'DON'T TRY BARGAINING WITH GOD,' how crucial it is to move past that mindset. The core message was always about trusting God's will and not bargaining with Him. It hit me hard. When we try to bargain, we're essentially saying, 'I know better than You,' or 'I'll only obey if I get what I want.' It’s like putting God on trial, rather than surrendering to His perfect plan. One of the biggest shifts for me came when I started to truly grasp what it means that 'God is a jealous God.' It's not jealousy in a human, insecure sense. It’s His divine, holy jealousy for our wholehearted devotion. He wants all of us, not just the parts that need something. When I was bargaining, I was essentially making a conditional offer, and that wasn't full devotion. It was me trying to control the outcome, rather than simply trusting His goodness. So, how do we move from bargaining to true trust? For me, it started with consistent, honest prayer – not just a shopping list of requests, but genuine conversation. I began to practice gratitude, even when things weren't going my way. It’s easy to thank Him when blessings are obvious, but thanking Him in the midst of uncertainty, for His character alone, changed everything. This consistency the original post mentions is vital. He's not a 'sometimes father,' and we shouldn't be 'sometimes children' who only show up when we need something. Journaling became another powerful tool. As the article suggests, 'The more you take notes of what you have learned, you will retain information.' I started writing down my prayers, His responses (even silent ones), and moments of His faithfulness. This practice helped me see His consistent hand in my life, building my trust muscle. It made it easier to embrace His will, even when it wasn't what I originally 'bargained' for. Think about the passage from Deuteronomy 6. It talks about not going after other gods and diligently keeping His commandments. When we bargain, we're subtly creating 'other gods' – our own desires or conditions – and placing them above His sovereign will. It’s a form of testing Him, much like the Israelites did. But God wants our obedience and trust, knowing that 'it may be well with thee.' Let me tell you, letting go of bargaining brought such peace. It’s an ongoing journey, but it’s so freeing to know that I don't have to convince God or earn His favor through deals. His grace is freely given. My job is to trust, obey, and be consistently present in our relationship. It’s about truly understanding that His plan is always better than anything I could conjure up, and His love is unconditional.
