Stray Kids • DC • 6.23.25

Being at the first barricade for the Stray Kids DC show on 6.23.25 was an absolute dream, even with the unexpected heatwave! It was my first time this close, and let me tell you, every moment felt surreal. From that vantage point, you truly appreciate the sheer energy and meticulous detail of their performance on the outdoor concert stage in Washington, DC. I was able to snap some incredible close-ups, especially of the members you're probably looking for! Bang Chan, for instance, in his signature grey sleeveless vest with those intricate embellishments, commanded the stage. You could see the sweat, the dedication – it was mesmerizing. And Hyunjin, wearing his light grey vest and pants, had this captivating presence; I managed to get a shot where he was looking right towards the camera – a moment I'll never forget! Even with the intense heat, their professionalism shone through. I.N., looking super cool in his white tank top and jeans, also gave us some great moments, engaging with the crowd with a genuine smile. And Seungmin, in his black graphic t-shirt, was just radiating joy with his arm raised. These are the kinds of details you only catch when you're right there, experiencing the red lighting and the metallic logo behind them. My advice for anyone aiming for a barricade spot at a concert? Patience is key! Get there early, and I mean *early*. Bring snacks, water, and perhaps a portable fan if it's hot – especially for outdoor venues. Dress comfortably – my outfit for the day was focused on being able to stand for hours. I also found that having a small, lightweight bag for essentials was a lifesaver. And don't forget to charge your phone or camera fully, and maybe bring a power bank, because you'll want to capture every single moment. Seeing Felix with his long blonde hair and graphic top, or Changbin in his silver-embellished vest – these are the memories you want to preserve. The show, unfortunately, had to be cut short due to the heat wave, which was a real bummer, especially with 8 songs left. It was tough seeing people pass out, and I hope everyone who was affected is feeling much better now. It really highlights the importance of staying hydrated and listening to your body at these intense events. But even with that, the initial part of the concert, getting to witness my favorite Stray Kids members like Han wiping his face with a towel, or Lee Know with his intense gaze in his white shirt and black tie, up close from the barricade, made it an unforgettable experience.
