... Read moreOh my gosh, fellow plant lovers, if you're anything like me, you absolutely adore cacti and succulents! I’ve been building up my little indoor jungle, and these incredible plants bring so much joy and life to my space. I wanted to share some of my favorite arrangements and give you a little peek into why I love them so much, especially for those of you searching for some fresh 'fotos' inspiration! When it comes to creating these beautiful displays, it's all about variety. I love mixing different textures and colors, just like you see in some of my current setups. I’ve got everything from the classic green and grey-green succulents to some truly eye-catching yellow and even red varieties. You really can’t go wrong with combining a fuzzy white cactus with a vibrant red moon cactus – it creates such a striking contrast! And for those who love a bit of drama, trailing burro's tail is an absolute must-have; it spills so gracefully from hanging planters. Choosing the right planter makes a huge difference too! I’ve experimented with everything from rectangular arrangements in rustic woven rope planters, which give a lovely natural vibe, to sleek white ceramic planters that really make the colors of the plants pop. A simple round white ceramic pot can become a stunning centerpiece when filled with a mix of different cacti, all nestled in decorative pebbles. Don't be afraid to mix and match materials and sizes to create visual interest. I find that a well-chosen planter perfectly complements the unique shapes of the succulents and cacti. Caring for these beauties is surprisingly easy, which is another reason I’m so obsessed! Most succulents and cacti thrive on neglect, making them perfect for busy plant parents. The key is good drainage and plenty of sunlight. I use a well-draining soil mix designed specifically for succulents and only water when the soil is completely dry – usually every few weeks, depending on the season. Placing them near a sunny window helps them maintain their vibrant colors and prevents them from getting leggy. For my hanging planters, I make sure they get indirect but bright light to keep those trailing burro’s tail happy and lush.
