Thinking About Grad School! Career Advice Wanted 🎓
I always told myself I wasn’t going to take out more loans or go back to school .. at least for a while. But here I am, considering a master’s degree!
After some reflection, I’ve realized that investing in further education might be the next step for me. I’ve been weighing the pros and cons and wanted to hear from others about their career paths.
I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on where I’m headed in my career and honestly, college can feel like a scam if you DON’T choose the right major. For example, I majored in criminal justice, but I’m not interested in doing fieldwork. I’d much prefer a stable office job with great pay and job security .. something reliable, like how nurses are set once they earn their degree and pass the NCLEX.
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s made a major career shift. What was your experience like? Is it worth pursuing? Or are there other career paths that guarantee success (besides nursing) that you’d recommend?
I’m also open to getting certifications or even going back to school for a degree that guarantees a clear career path.
Let me know your thoughts below—I’m all ears!
