Four years later and I’m performing again! I’m going to be a little busy over the next 7 weeks on top of motherhood! So excited to be playing Lucy Grant in @templeshows production of Bright Star!
Returning to the stage after several years away is both exhilarating and challenging, especially when balancing the demands of motherhood. Playing Lucy Grant in Bright Star has been a truly rewarding experience that has rekindled my passion for musical theatre. One of the most surprising aspects of this return is how I’ve learned to manage my time effectively. Between rehearsals and caring for my child, the days can be hectic, but the joy of performing makes every busy moment worthwhile. It’s like my own personal reminder that pursuing creative passions is essential, even amidst the chaos of daily life. The phrase from the images, "sorry I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy...", perfectly reflects the reality of multitasking as a mom and performer. There’s always something to juggle, but setting firm boundaries and having a supportive network makes it possible to stay focused on both family and career. Being part of Temple Shows' Bright Star has also deepened my appreciation for the community aspect of theatre. Sharing this journey with fellow actors and audiences alike enriches my experience and helps me stay motivated. Whether you’re a mom pursuing your dreams or simply passionate about musical theatre, finding that balance and community support is key. If you’re considering a return to performing or juggling creative ambitions with parenthood, I encourage you to embrace the challenges with patience and enthusiasm. It’s a unique journey that, while demanding, brings profound fulfillment and joy.
