For every “yes,” there are plenty of “no’s.” There are videos that flop, campaigns that don’t work out, endless revisions, technical issues, and days where you question everything you’re doing.
I figured I’d share a few of the moments that usually stay off camera because this job isn’t perfect. That’s what makes it real.
Creators, what’s been your biggest flop lately? 😂

Being a content creator isn’t always about viral videos and perfect posts. In my experience, some of the most eye-opening moments come from the projects that don’t go as planned. For example, having to redo a brand campaign’s voiceover six times can test your patience, but it also teaches resilience and the importance of clear communication. One memorable flop was missing a major deadline for a paid brand deal, which was a tough lesson in time management and keeping transparent communication with clients. Another unexpected moment was when I was invited to collaborate with a dream brand—only to find out they accepted me by mistake. Although embarrassing, this taught me to stay humble and prepared for any outcome, reinforcing that opportunities often come in imperfect ways. I also want to talk about imposter syndrome, something many creators silently face. There have been days I questioned whether I was good enough or belonged in this space. Sharing these vulnerabilities creates a genuine connection with other creators who feel the same way. Overall, these flops—whether technical, emotional, or professional—make the journey authentic. They remind me that success is not just about the wins but about how you handle setbacks, grow through them, and keep creating. To all content creators out there, embracing your flaws and learning from every misstep is what truly makes the craft rewarding.
