“I won’t always have the time”

This was something that come out of my mouth last week when speaking about a 40 day devotional book. In this book, you sign a page committing to reading a chapter every day. I however, didn’t sign the page “in case I don’t have time that day.” I didn’t want to break the “contract”.

What if God said to me “I will do it when I get time.”

“I hear your prayers, I just have done so much for other people today, that I don’t have 5 minutes to spend on you.” What if God said that? How would I feel in that situation?

I will find the time. I will make the time. Instead of spending 15 minutes scrolling through Facebook, I’ll spend 15 minutes doing a devotion.

The problems, goals and activities I have in this life feel so trivial, petty, and unworthy of my attention. The closer I’ve grown to God, the smaller everything else is appearing. ❤️
