I always recommend taking the MCAT the year before you are planning to apply to medical school. For example, if you are applying in 2026, take the MCAT in 2025. Now, I know that it is not always possible for everyone and timelines look different for everyone, but doing this will help you avoid burnout. Since you knocked out the MCAT first, so when your application year starts, you can concentrate on other things like your Personal statement, activities section, secondary applications, Casper exam and so on!
