Tone my back with me

Hey guys I’m big on being honest so it doesn’t matter where you’re starting from it only matters how far you came. I often go to the gym but I like to remind myself that it’s beneficial to workout at home when I can’t make it. This is my favorite arm/back workout. It helps tone up my arms and tightens my stubborn back wings. Remember to do what you can when you can and let your body do the rest. I#backtomyself #work out for me..💋 #exercise #athomeworkout

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last post about toning my back and arms at home, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how I make these home workouts really count, especially for those stubborn areas like the back of the arms and those 'back wings' we all can get. You know, sometimes I see those super quick, effective workout clips online – like on TikTok – and they really inspire me to get creative with my own routine. You don't need a fancy gym or heavy weights to see results! Here are a few of my go-to exercises that are perfect for at-home arm and back toning, focusing on that crucial "back of arms" area: Tricep Dips (Chair/Bench Dips): This is fantastic for the back of your arms (triceps!). Find a sturdy, non-moving chair or bench. Sit on the edge, place your hands beside your hips with fingers pointing forward. Carefully slide your butt off the chair, keeping your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lower your body by bending your elbows directly behind you, keeping them close to your body, until your arms are at about a 90-degree angle. Then, push back up using your triceps. I aim for 3 sets of 10-15 reps. It burns in the best way, letting you know it's working! Push-Ups (Variations): Don't be intimidated! Push-ups are a fantastic compound exercise that works your chest, shoulders, and yes, significantly targets the back of your arms (triceps). If full push-ups on your toes are too challenging, start on your knees, or even against a wall or an elevated surface like a sturdy table. Focus on keeping your core tight and maintaining a straight line from your head to your heels. I challenge myself to do 3 sets of as many controlled repetitions as I can. Bent-Over Rows (with Household Items): For your back muscles, you absolutely don't need dumbbells. Grab two full water bottles, heavy cans of food, or even small books! Hinge forward at your hips, keeping your back straight and a slight bend in your knees. Let your 'weights' hang down towards the floor, then pull them up towards your chest, actively squeezing your shoulder blades together at the top. Slowly lower them back down with control. This really helps to sculpt that upper back and improve posture. I do 3 sets of 12-15 reps. Superman: This one is a bodyweight exercise that’s super effective for strengthening your entire posterior chain, especially your lower and upper back. Lie on your stomach with your arms extended straight in front of you and your legs straight behind you. Simultaneously lift your arms, chest, and legs off the ground, engaging your back and glutes. Hold this 'flying' position for a second or two, then slowly lower everything back down. It’s like flying! I do 3 sets of 10-12 reps, focusing on the contraction in my back. Remember, proper form is absolutely crucial for getting the most out of each exercise and preventing any potential injury. It’s always better to do fewer repetitions with excellent form than many with poor technique. And don't forget to warm up for 5-10 minutes with some arm circles, shoulder rolls, and light dynamic stretches, and cool down thoroughly afterward with static stretches. The biggest takeaway for me is consistency. Even doing 15-20 minutes of these effective exercises a few times a week makes a huge difference in how I feel and look. Don't wait until you can commit to a perfect hour-long gym session; just start with what you can, when you can. It's truly amazing what our bodies can achieve from the comfort of our own homes. Every little bit counts towards feeling stronger, more toned, and more confident in your own skin!
