I drew Izuku Midoriya aka Deku!💚

I drew Bakugo now I got a request of Deku. Of course I did him digitally, with colors and rendered. My students squealed over him, made him very… pretty.🫣🤭

... Read moreIt’s always a blast to dive into drawing beloved anime characters, and tackling Izuku Midoriya, our very own Deku, was no exception! After getting some requests, I knew I had to bring my boy Izuku to life in a new digital drawing. It's such a fulfilling process to see him come together, from a simple idea to a vibrant piece of fan art. My digital art journey for Deku always starts with a good sketch. This is where I figure out his pose and expression – like that determined look or perhaps a surprised crouch in his hero costume, as you might see in some of my works. I focus on capturing his unique features: that iconic spiky green hair, the freckles, and the earnestness in his eyes. For MHA sketches, I usually lay down rough shapes first, then refine them layer by layer. It’s a wonderful way to play with ideas before committing to a final outline. Once I have a satisfying sketch, I move onto the line art. This stage is crucial because it defines the edges and really makes the character pop. For those who are into deku line art or even deku black and white drawings, this phase is essentially the core of those styles. I carefully trace over my sketch, paying attention to variations in line weight to give the drawing dynamism and depth. Sometimes, I even think about how this clean line art could almost be a deku coloring page for someone else to enjoy – just add your favorite hues! Then comes the exciting part: adding color and rendering! This is where Deku truly comes alive. I love picking out the vibrant shades for his izuku midoriya green hair anime style and making sure his izuku midoriya deku hero costume anime elements are just right – from the stark white of his gloves to the deep red of his shoes. Digital tools make it so easy to experiment with different lighting and shading techniques to give him that rendered, almost three-dimensional look. My goal is always to make him look as 'pretty' and heroic as possible, and seeing the colors blend and shine is incredibly rewarding. If you’re aiming for cute deku fanart, a few tricks can help! Think about slightly exaggerated features, like bigger eyes or a softer expression. You can also play with chibified proportions or bright, pastel color palettes. It’s all about evoking that endearing quality. And speaking of value, crafting Izuku Midoriya fanart or midoriya drawing pieces that resonate with people is such a joy. There’s something special about sharing your artistic take on an anime character Izuku Midoriya with a community that loves him just as much as you do. Drawing Deku, whether a detailed izuku midoriya drawing or a quick deku sketch, is a fantastic way to celebrate My Hero Academia. I always wonder, once I finish a piece, Who's next? What other MHA characters should I bring to life? It keeps the creative flow going! I hope my process inspires you to pick up your stylus or pencil and create your own amazing fanart izuku midoriya.
