I Drew Ivan & Till In My Style✨

The amount of times I’ve been requested to draw these two from ‘Alien Stage’ is wild.😭 My middle schoolers are just hard to resist. Especially when I have two who are obsessed with Ivan and Till.🤭 It was fun drawing them. Though I was trying to do it in a friendly way since… the tension between these two and story is not for the young audience.🫣

The fan art is so great of these two, capturing their story and life.🥹 Never expected such a storytelling and the animation is fire, plus the music too!😍

How did I do?🫣

... Read moreOkay, so let's talk about Ivan and Till from 'Alien Stage' a bit more! Seriously, the amount of buzz around these two is incredible, and it's not hard to see why. When I first dove into 'Alien Stage,' I was immediately hooked by its unique blend of music, animation, and deeply emotional storytelling. It's truly a masterclass in character development, and Ivan and Till are at the heart of so much of that complexity. For me, drawing fan art of them isn't just about recreating their iconic looks – like Ivan's cool teal hair and dark clothes, or Till's contrasting white coat and dark hair, often seen with their microphones. It's about trying to capture the intense dynamic between them. The series does such an amazing job of showing their personalities, from Ivan's sometimes sly expression to Till's moments of genuine distress and vulnerability, like that scratch on his face in some key scenes. These visual cues are so strong and tell so much of their story without words. What really resonates with fans, and certainly with me, is the narrative arc surrounding the 'cure.' It's a central theme that adds so much depth and tension to their relationship and individual journeys. The concept of the 'cure' transforms what could be a simple competition into something much more profound and heartbreaking. It makes you think about their motivations, their past, and what the future holds for them. It’s why so many of us are drawn to create fan content, whether it’s fan art, fanfiction, or discussions, because their story leaves such a lasting impression. We're all trying to process the emotional weight of Ivan's cure and Till's cure. I find myself constantly inspired by how the creators portray their struggles and strengths. The way the animation shifts to reflect their inner turmoil, or how the music perfectly underscores a pivotal moment – it's all just *chef's kiss*. When I sit down to sketch them, I'm thinking about those moments. How do I convey the weight of Ivan's bad things or Till's experiences? How do I show that contrast between their public personas and their hidden vulnerabilities? It’s a challenge, but a really rewarding one. Every detail, from their expressions to their stage presence with their microphones, tells a part of their story. It’s no wonder requests for Till and Ivan fanart are always pouring in. There's just so much to explore and interpret. The community around 'Alien Stage' is fantastic, and seeing how other artists interpret these characters and their journey, especially regarding the cure, constantly pushes me to experiment with new styles and techniques. It's a shared passion for a truly exceptional piece of animation.
