I Drew Okarun In My Style✨

I know I didn’t make him pale like a zombie, but I visioned him shifting, okay.🫣

I instantly liked him the moment he first appeared in the first episode. Mainly because I was a quiet kid who just had a very big imagination that I had friends in elementary just like him. I had two friends who were quite fond of such things. I spent most of my time with them since they were fun to be around and kind.🥹

But seeing him in his form was having me fan-girling hard. How his voice changed, ooo~🤭

How did I do?🫣

What really drew me to Okarun was not just his visual design but how he resonated with my own childhood – shy, imaginative, and finding comfort in close friendships with people who shared those same quirky interests. When I decided to draw him, I wanted to show that transformation subtlety: not making him look zombie-like but capturing that eerie shifting quality that makes his character so intriguing. Working with Procreate allowed me to experiment with different textures and colors to bring out that inner complexity while keeping the essence of Okarun's personality intact. His voice change in the show was especially captivating for me; it added layers to his character that made my fan-girling more intense! I've found that blending my imagination with his story helps me connect with the character in a way that goes beyond just drawing – it's like I’m reliving moments of childhood wonder and friendship. For anyone looking to create their own unique fan art, I recommend focusing on what aspects of the character truly speak to you. It doesn’t have to be an exact replication but a version that reflects your personal experience and interpretation. Dandadan has such rich characters and storytelling that fans can find countless ways to express their admiration through art – whether it’s capturing personality traits, emotional nuances, or transformative moments like Okarun’s form shift. If you’re interested in exploring character art, try experimenting with digital tools like Procreate and don’t be afraid to infuse your own memories and feelings into your work. Sharing fan art also builds community and connection with others who appreciate those stories and characters just as much as you do.
