Things to do in Colorado - July Edition pt. 1

I love my state! Here’s a few things I did in July.

1/2 - Starting off with a bang (literally) we attended the Colorado Rockies game for July 4th. Coors Field

3/4 - We attended a concert at the beautiful Red Rocks concert venue in Morrison, CO. Only about half an hour from Denver, gorgeous views, great shows!! It’s a walk, so make sure you have comfortable footwear. Wouldn’t suggest heels unless they are thicker heels to handle the cracks and uneven gravel and won’t hurt your feet lol. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

4/5 - We ate lunch at Cabron Carbon! One of my favorite taquerias in Denver. Anything on the menu is good but I recommend the quesabirria tacos, esquite, asada potato or the barbacoa nachos for SURE. Great drinks and it’s also an art gallery!! Cabrón Carbón - Taquería & Galería

5/6 - Bingo Loco made a stop in Denver! It comes every so often and is a BLAST! This is anything but normal bingo. Drinks are good, they keep the party going with music for everyone, people were there with friends, as couples, with parents, on a girls night out. Super fun and silly prizes to win with the grand prize being a trip to Vegas. Buy tickets ahead of time!! Temple Nightclub Denver

7 - I attended the Roller Rave at Reelworks Denver! A monthly skate party that has 3 rooms with 3 different things happening, a food truck, and bars through out. LGBTQ+ friendly as it is hosted at Tracks nightclub and if you don’t know how or don’t want to skate, there is plenty room to just dance! ReelWorks Denver

8 - We dined at Por Favor in Colorado Springs for dinner. The environment was super cool and the drinks were absolutely great. The margarita flight was chefs kiss!! I will say the food was pretty mediocre, but if you happen to be there and want to stop in for a drink, it’s a great place to go. About an hour from Denver! Por Favor Tacos & Tragos

... Read moreColorado offers a vibrant summer experience filled with diverse activities, venues, and cultural events that uniquely capture the spirit of the state. July is a prime month to explore everything from legendary outdoor concert venues to lively nightlife and unique dining spots. One of the iconic summer events is attending a game at Coors Field, home to the Colorado Rockies. Located in Denver, Coors Field delivers not only the thrill of Major League Baseball but stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, especially on patriotic celebrations like the Fourth of July. It’s a top pick for sports enthusiasts visiting Colorado in the summer. Nearby, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO is world-renowned for its breathtaking natural rock formations and excellent acoustics. Concerts here are memorable because of the combination of nature and music, making it a must-visit venue during the July concert season. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable, sturdy footwear to navigate the uneven terrain of the park. Food lovers will find joy at Cabrón Carbón - Taquería & Galería in Denver, a vibrant spot that doubles as an art gallery. Popular menu items such as quesabirria tacos, esquite, asada potato, and barbacoa nachos highlight the authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine that locals rave about. It’s an ideal casual dining option combining good food with creative ambiance. For those seeking nightlife and entertainment with a twist, Denver hosts unique experiences like Bingo Loco at Temple Nightclub. Unlike traditional bingo, this event features music, drinks, lively crowds, and fun prizes including a grand prize trip to Las Vegas. Tickets are in high demand, so purchasing in advance is recommended. Another eclectic event in Denver is the monthly Roller Rave at ReelWorks Denver. With multiple rooms including skating, dancing, a food truck, and bars, it offers a welcoming atmosphere for all, including the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you skate or just come to dance, this event showcases Denver’s inclusive and energetic scene. Travelers can also enjoy the nearby city of Colorado Springs with its own set of attractions like Por Favor Tacos & Tragos. Known for its excellent margarita flight and laid-back environment, this spot is perfect for a drink stop, even if the food is rated as average. These events and locations embody the vibrant summer culture of Colorado, making July a perfect month to explore sports, music, food, and unique social gatherings that highlight the state’s diverse offerings.
