📍 Bar Epliogue @ The Garden District Book Shop
I still can’t believe this book shop sells books, coffee, and alcohol ?? The book store is honestly really cozy and has a variety of different books available to purchase! I was also shocked to find out there is a bar casually inside that serves coffee and drinky drinks. Lastly, if you’re a huge horror fan; and more specifically an Anne Rice fan.. you should definitely check it out!

I still can't get over how charming and unique Bar Epliogue is, tucked inside The Garden District Book Shop. It really is a beautiful escape from the everyday! The moment you walk in, you're enveloped in that wonderful scent of old books and fresh coffee, creating an atmosphere that feels both historic and incredibly cozy. It's truly a literary-themed dream where every corner holds a new discovery, from classic novels to contemporary reads. What really makes this place an absolute treasure, especially for fans, is its incredible Anne Rice connection. It's more than just a bookstore selling her works; it's almost like an archive of her legacy. There's a dedicated wall filled with her books—I spotted everything from "Interview with the Vampire" and "The Vampire Lestat" to "The Queen of the Damned" and "The Tale of the Body Thief." And the best part? A fun fact I learned is that Anne Rice herself used to frequent this very book shop! Imagine browsing the same shelves, soaking in the same literary magic as the legendary author. It makes the experience so much richer. Beyond the books, Bar Epliogue itself is a delight. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to read with a carefully crafted coffee or want to unwind with one of their unique "drinky drinks" after a day exploring the Garden District, they have you covered. It perfectly blends the intellectual charm of a bookstore with the relaxed vibe of a local bar. It's a place where you can lose yourself for hours, discover a new favorite author, and maybe even feel a little closer to the literary history of New Orleans. Definitely add this to your must-visit list!
