Let’s Catch Up 🤎

hello everyone!

first and foremost, i hope you know that you are deeply loved and cared for. if you didn’t hear it from anyone today, I LOVE YOU 🤎🖤💛

i think my last post was in February but i’m not entirely sure, and it honestly doesn’t matter. between then and now so many wonderful things have happened. so many bittersweet events have occurred too. in the midst of my highs and lows, with encouragement of my loving husband, and support friends, i’ve been reminded that God is the only constant. if nothing else, my faith in Him must remain steadfast.

i will be the first to admit that i can be a lousy Christian. i allow my screen time, long naps, and even my side hustles to take precedence over reading the Word and seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. however, i am forever grateful that His love is all we need. His love has already paid my debt and i can seek peace instead of worry. closeness and comfort in Him instead of hyper independence.

the Lord has been so gracious, so kind and so merciful. i have truly felt like a daughter of the King in my short season of being a fiancée, job hunting, and moving. although i can say that the past few months have been a blessing through and through, they have also been some of the TOUGHEST months of my entire life thus far. but that’s part of being a Christian right? giving God all the glory at the end of each day no matter the outcome. truly leaning on our faith in Jesus and believing without a doubt that while we are weak He is strong.

i have been given a beautiful life, and my deepest desire is to love God with all of my heart, mind and soul, to the point where my words and actions Will effortlessly leave others wanting to know where my joy comes from.

My Joy Comes From the Lord 💛🐝🥳

*** i will share more with you about my fiancée era and being a newly wed in the next post.

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have been asking about my recent casual looks, especially the one I’ve been rocking lately in my updates. I totally get it – sometimes, you just need that go-to outfit that feels good, looks effortlessly put-together, and can carry you through whatever life throws your way. This look, featuring my beloved grey 'CHAMPIONS' cap, a simple black long-sleeved top, and my favorite denim shorts, has become my absolute staple for a reason! What I love about this outfit is its blend of comfort and understated style. The 'CHAMPIONS' cap isn't just a hat; it's a statement about embracing my journey, feeling victorious even through challenges, and owning my personal power. I picked mine up a while ago, but you can find similar vintage-inspired sports caps at thrift stores, online marketplaces, or even current sportswear collections. Don't be afraid to hunt for a design that speaks to you! Pairing it with a versatile black long-sleeved top makes it super practical. Black is a true hero in any wardrobe – it’s chic, flattering, and can be dressed up or down. Mine is a simple cotton blend, perfect for transitional weather or just throwing on when I want to feel cozy but still look presentable. For those of you looking to replicate this, any plain black tee or long-sleeve will do the trick. Focus on quality fabric that feels soft against your skin. And then there are the denim shorts! A classic for a reason. Mine are a comfortable, slightly relaxed fit, which is key for staying active and feeling free. I love how denim adds that touch of laid-back cool to any outfit. When choosing denim shorts, consider the wash and cut that best suits your body type and personal preference. High-waisted styles are always a winner for comfort and a flattering silhouette. This whole vibe is perfect for my current season of life – whether I'm running errands, spending a relaxed afternoon on a lounge chair outdoors, or just catching up with friends. It’s an outfit that allows me to feel completely myself, even when I'm navigating big life changes like job hunting, moving, or simply deepening my faith. It’s about feeling good from the inside out, and sometimes, a comfortable, authentic outfit helps set that tone. For those of you who want to recreate this look, here are a few tips: Find your cap: Look for a baseball cap with a simple logo or a meaningful message. Vintage stores are goldmines! Invest in basics: A good quality black top is a must-have. Comfortable denim: Prioritize fit and comfort over trends for your shorts. Accessorize simply: Maybe a delicate necklace or a watch, but let the outfit speak for itself. Own it! The best part of any outfit is how you feel in it. This casual look isn't just about clothes; it's about embracing where I am and finding joy in the everyday. It's a reminder that even in the midst of the toughest months, there's beauty and style to be found. Hope this helps you find your own version of this comfy, chic look!
