We Moved 🏡 🛻🌞
We moved. Pt. 1
My hubby and I moved almost two months ago. After many conversations, numerous prayers and endless tears we decided to move in with his parents (same State just 5hrs away).
To keep it short and sweet, I was struggling to increase my hours and clientele as a BHT (behavioral health tech), and my hubby’s company was going through layoffs. Life slapped us in the face, and we needed to take drastic action.
When we got married I moved into his apartment and that worked for us. We were content. We were two 25 year olds living as best we could. We budgeted, meal prepared, looked after our mental, physical, and spiritual health and took a few trips to visit family and friends in and out of PA. Sacrifices were made and yet we found ourselves struggling to live on our own and still enjoy life from time to time.
Moving in with my in-laws, into his childhood home, was a ‘walk by faith and not by sight’ move. At first I struggled so hard. Looking back, many of my mental blocks were truly lies from the enemy:
- There is no shame asking for help from family or friends
- I am not less than because my career path is not linear or makes an X amount of money
- I am not an embarrassment to husband
- I am not underserving of love
It’s been some time and we’ve settled in… I’ve developed a rhythm living with his family. We’ve secured new jobs that tic off the right boxes. Most importantly we’ve found a wonderful church community and are starting to make new friends.
Truly none of this could have come together if it wasn’t for God’s sovereignty, faithfulness and love. If we did it all on our own this would’ve been a big ole mess and definitely would’ve caused so much stress. To God be the Glory!!! This is His doing 🤎
