If you love to read and want to build community, consider joining a book club. My club is fairly new and we meet once a month. Some ladies in the group, read the books, others listen to the audio options, read over the book summary, or just come because they love their friends.
We meet once a month and it’s been an awesome experience. Here’s a list of the titles we’ve read by month:
April: Book 1
‘The Let Them Theory’ by Mel Robbins
May: Book 2
‘Yours Truly’ by Abby Jimenez
June: Book 3
‘Fervent’ by Priscilla Shirer

Happy reading and stay tuned for a list of books I’ve read outside of book club. 📚
... Read moreJoining a book club is one of the most rewarding ways to engage with a reading community, especially for those who enjoy varied formats like audiobooks, summaries, or traditional reading. From personal experience, I can say that monthly meetings create a consistent rhythm that helps maintain reading momentum without feeling overwhelming. For instance, 'The Let Them Theory' by Mel Robbins, which offers motivational and personal development insights, comes paired with an audiobook narrated by the author herself, making it accessible whether you prefer listening during commutes or reading at home.
Similarly, Abby Jimenez’s 'Yours Truly' combines contemporary romance with comedy, providing a light yet engaging read. Its audiobook version features multiple narrators, which enhances the storytelling experience and keeps group discussions lively as members share their impressions of characters and plot twists.
Priscilla Shirer’s 'Fervent' introduced a different dimension, focusing on Christian living and strategic prayer, narrated also by the author, which deepened our conversations about faith and personal growth.
For anyone looking to start their own book club or join one, consider flexible participation like ours: some members may not always finish the full book but join for summaries or simply for the camaraderie. This inclusivity allows everyone to benefit and enjoy the shared experience.
Lastly, platforms like Goodreads are excellent for keeping track of your readings and connecting with fellow enthusiasts. I recommend using it to share personal ratings and thoughts, as it enriches the reading journey. Don’t hesitate to comment with your favorite page-turners to inspire others—book clubs, after all, are about sharing and growing together through stories.
