Kiki's Delivery Service is sweet and comforting, perfect for a light watch that still leaves a lasting impression. Though it might not feel as complex as some other Ghibli films, the story of independence and self-discovery is inspiring. Spirited Away, while beloved by many, felt somewhat anticlimactic to me despite its enchanting visual aesthetics like the soot sprites. That said, I still admire the creativity and the emotional depth of the story. Lastly, The Boy and the Heron intrigues me because of its exploration of change and adaptation. It left me wanting more time with the protagonist to fully grasp his transformation, but I appreciate the thoughtful themes it touches upon.
