Peepers is back! 🐿️

It's just the best feeling when a familiar face returns, isn't it? For me, that face belongs to Mr Squirrel aka Peepers. I was so thrilled to see him back again, just chilling in the shade and looking utterly content. There's something incredibly heartwarming about watching these little creatures in their natural habitat, especially when they become a regular part of your day. Every time I spot him, it’s a little reminder to pause and appreciate the small, beautiful things in life. Peepers isn't just any squirrel; he's got a real personality that's hard not to love. He's often quite bold, sometimes a little cheeky (especially when he thinks no one's watching his acrobatics), but always, always so cute. I've been observing him for a while now, and each visit brings a huge smile to my face. It's those quiet moments, like seeing him relax under a tree, or busily burying a nut, that really stand out. It reminds me to slow down and appreciate the simple joys around us, taking a break from the hustle and bustle. There’s a certain calm that comes with watching wildlife thrive right outside your window. I know many of you might have your own special animal visitors, whether it's a particular bird that frequents your feeder, a friendly stray cat who pops by for a nap, or even another squirrel with its own unique habits. It's amazing how much joy and a sense of connection they can bring into our lives. I often wonder what Peepers gets up to when he's not around – what adventures does he have in the neighborhood? Does he have a secret, super-safe nut-stashing spot? These thoughts make his return even more exciting and make me feel a little more connected to the natural world. Providing a fresh water source, like a shallow bird bath or a small dish, is always appreciated, especially in warmer weather or during dry spells. While I'm careful not to interfere too much with their natural foraging instincts, sometimes leaving out a few unsalted nuts or seeds (specifically for squirrels and birds, of course!) can be a lovely, occasional treat – just make sure it's in moderation and safe for them. Watching them enjoy these small offerings is incredibly rewarding. The best part about Peepers being back is the promise of more glimpses into his world.
