Many students receive refunds from scholarships, loans, or other financial assistance, and knowing how to allocate these funds can significantly impact your savings goals. Start by creating a budget that accounts for essential expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities. Prioritize setting aside a portion of your refund for savings right away, ideally in a high-yield savings account to maximize interest. Consider using budgeting apps that help track your spending against your income. This can provide insights into your spending habits and highlight areas where you can cut back. Moreover, explore opportunities to earn passive income, which can help supplement your savings. This could include part-time jobs, internships, or even side hustles like freelancing. Another useful tip is to automate savings by setting up transfers from your checking to savings account immediately upon receiving your refund. Lastly, don’t hesitate to seek advice and share experiences with fellow students. Online forums and peer groups can be valuable resources for receiving tips on savings strategies that resonate with student life. Remember, it’s about consistency and making informed decisions to secure your financial future.

Girl I work full time and go to school online full time. When I get my disbursement if I don’t have any bills to pay I save 20% of the fund in my savings and then use some for groceries bc food is high lol.
