I wore nails before the hype. It was a lifestyle for me for years. I stopped wearing my nails with an overlay like this b/c I just simply lost the interest. Not to mention, it wld cost $200 plus dollars to maintain this style today vs the $45 I wld pay in 2018 and before. I wld get soooo many compliments b/c wearing nails like this was not common. I'll never forget my nail tech, an older fella NO ONE wld ever trust with their nails. He never had clients to the point he moved back to Miami as a result. I felt like someone had ripped my heart out when he left. He had done my nails for 10 years plus. I was reluctant to find a another person to keep them up for another 2-3 years or so, but again, eventually lost the interest.....
I absolutely love that the girlies are keeping the nail hype alive 💅🏾 It's a lifestyle. If ykYK 🫶🏾
Having worn acrylic overlay nails long before they surged in popularity, I can genuinely say it was more than just a beauty choice—it was a part of my daily expression and confidence. Back then, the maintenance cost was remarkably affordable compared to now, making it easier to stay consistent with my unique nail style. I remember the countless compliments I received, which boosted my pride in choosing a look that wasn’t mainstream at the time. The journey wasn’t always smooth, especially with my nail technician who, despite being older and overlooked by many, was incredibly skilled and dedicated. Their departure felt like losing not just a service provider but someone who truly understood my style and needs through more than a decade. Finding the right expert to maintain that natural curve and acrylic overlay was always daunting, and eventually, my interest waned as the upkeep costs and effort increased. Witnessing the current nail trend revival among the younger crowd who are passionate about natural nails and acrylic overlays is heartwarming. It’s inspiring to see how this style has evolved yet stays rooted in self-expression and identity. For those interested, it’s worth exploring local nail salons that specialize in maintaining natural curves and acrylic overlays, as these techniques have become an art form requiring precise skills and quality products. If you’re considering hopping on the nail hype but concerned about the cost or maintenance, start with understanding the different types of overlays and what suits your nail health. Acrylic overlays can protect your natural nails and add that desired shape or curve, but regular touch-ups are essential to keep nails looking fresh and prevent damage. In essence, nails are more than accessories; they represent a lifestyle and personal story. Whether you’re a seasoned nail enthusiast or a newcomer intrigued by acrylic overlays, embracing this trend means investing in self-care and artistry that makes you feel uniquely you.

Somebody should.make a cheat sheet on how to do everyday tasks, so I can get these nails, they are so beautiful and I'm a fan of the curve nails, the more the curve the better for me
