... Read moreHey fellow beauty lovers! After sharing my initial thoughts on some popular liquid blushes, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why these liquid cosmetic products have become such a staple in my routine and offer some extra tips. If you're like me, you're always on the hunt for that perfect flush, and Ulta is definitely a go-to spot for finding amazing blushes. Choosing Your Perfect Liquid Blush at Ulta When you're browsing the aisles (or website!) of Ulta for liquid blushes, it can be overwhelming! Here's what I've learned helps narrow it down: Consider Your Skin Type: If you have oily skin, you might prefer a more matte or satin finish to avoid looking too dewy. Drier skin types, however, will absolutely love a hydrating, dewy liquid blush. The weightless water lip stain, for example, feels super light and hydrating. Shade Selection: Don't be afraid to experiment! While a classic pink like a 'bright cherry' shade is always lovely, a 'berry well' or 'sangria splash' can add a beautiful depth, especially if you have deeper skin tones. I always recommend swatching a few options to see how the pigment truly shows up on your skin. Desired Intensity: Some liquid blushes offer a sheer, natural wash of color, while others are highly pigmented from the get-go. For a subtle look, I often reach for those with a lighter tint, but for a bolder statement, I go for something with more intense pigment. Application Tips for a Flawless Flush Getting that 'I just pinched my cheeks' look is easier than you think with liquid blushes! Less is More to Start: Liquid blushes are potent! I always start with just one tiny dot and build up from there. It's much easier to add more product than to try and remove too much. Tools Matter: Your fingers can work wonderfully for a natural, blended finish. For more precision or a seamless look, I love using a damp beauty sponge or a stippling brush. The key is to blend quickly before the product sets, especially with formulas known for smooth blending. Placement is Key: I usually apply liquid blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards towards my temples for a lifted effect. You can also use a lip and cheek tint on your lips for a cohesive look! It's so versatile. What About Sheglam? Does Ulta Sell It? I’ve seen a lot of buzz around Sheglam liquid blushes, and I totally get why you might be searching for them at Ulta! However, from my experience and what I've seen, Ulta does not typically carry Sheglam products. Sheglam is mostly sold directly through their own website or other specific online retailers. If you're looking for similar highly pigmented and affordable liquid blushes, I'd suggest checking out other amazing brands at Ulta like Milani, NYX, or even Elf's line – their liquid blush is fantastic and offers amazing pigment for the price! I hope these extra tips help you on your blush journey! Experiment, have fun, and find what makes you feel beautiful!
