Getting There: My Personal Experience When I planned my visit to Volcano Bay during the summer, I quickly realized you can’t just drive up to the entrance and park. Universal has a super efficient system in place. If you're staying at one of Universal's official hotels, like Cabana Bay or Aventura, you can often walk or take dedicated shuttle buses directly to the park entrance. It’s incredibly convenient! If you’re like me and staying off-site, you’ll head to the main Universal Orlando parking garage. Once you park (and pay the parking fee, which is typical for Orlando theme parks), you'll follow the clear signage directing you to the Volcano Bay shuttle area. You tap your band at a ride, go enjoy the wave pool or lazy river, and your band vibrates when it’s your turn. This was a lifesaver, especially with the park being so popular during my summer visit. From thrilling body slides like Ko’okiri Body Plunge that drop you from the top of the volcano, to the winding TeAwa The Fearless River, and the relaxing Waturi Beach wave pool, there's something for everyone. And for families with little ones, the Tot Tiki Reef and Runamukka Reef splash areas are fantastic.
