Happy Tuesday 💕🫧
Hey everyone! I totally get it – facing an 8-hour shift can feel like a marathon even before you've stepped out the door. That's why I've really honed my 'GRWM' (Get Ready With Me) routine to make my mornings as smooth and stress-free as possible. It’s not just about looking presentable; it’s about feeling prepared and energized for whatever the day throws your way. My morning usually kicks off with a quick splash of cold water on my face – it’s an instant wake-up call! Then, it's a simple skincare routine: a hydrating serum, a light moisturizer, and always, always SPF. Even if I'm indoors, window light counts! For makeup, I keep it super minimal for my 8-hour shift. Think tinted moisturizer, a touch of concealer, brow gel, and a swipe of mascara. It takes me less than 10 minutes, but it makes such a difference in how put-together I feel. Choosing an outfit the night before is my secret weapon. Seriously, it saves so much precious morning time and brainpower. I lay out everything, down to my accessories, so I can just grab and go. Comfort is key for an 8-hour shift, but I also like to look polished. Laying out clothes also ties into the 'U' (understood) part of getting ready for the day – you’re setting yourself up for success! Breakfast is non-negotiable for me. I usually opt for something quick but filling, like overnight oats or a smoothie. And coffee? Absolutely essential! While I'm sipping my coffee, I take a few minutes to mentally prepare for the day. I quickly review my to-do list and set one or two main priorities. This little mental check-in helps me feel focused before I even leave the house. Another tip for anyone with a long workday ahead: pack your bag the night before! I make sure I have my water bottle, some healthy snacks (fruit, nuts, a granola bar), my lunch (if I'm bringing it), and any personal essentials like hand cream or lip balm. Having these things ready means one less thing to worry about in the morning rush. Ultimately, my GRWM for an 8-hour shift isn't about perfection; it's about creating a sustainable routine that supports my well-being and productivity. It's about finding those small moments to care for myself so I can show up as my best self, ready to tackle the day with confidence. I hope sharing my routine inspires you to find what works for your busy mornings!
