In Maine, Acadia National Park dazzles with its hardwood forests turning shades of red, orange, and gold, especially along Park Loop Road and Cadillac Mountain summit. Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain National Park provides opportunities to witness the majestic elk rut, filling the park with the enchanting sounds of mating calls. Shenandoah National Park's Skyline Drive is a must-visit, winding through the Blue Ridge Mountains and offering numerous overlooks for fall color photography. Lastly, Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio features stunning waterfalls framed by autumn foliage, with peak colors typically occurring in mid to late October, presenting a serene retreat for nature lovers.
