Books I read and finished this week 📖

I was sick with a horrible sinus infection the last week and these were the books I read and finished..

🩵 I did end up listening to the audiobook of Full Circle —- I do recommend ! 5/5!

🩵 The other passenger - 3/5.

📖What are y’all reading ?

... Read moreAs many of you know, being under the weather can be a surprisingly good time to catch up on your reading list! Last week, battling a sinus infection, I found myself diving into two very different worlds, and I wanted to share a bit more than just a rating. First up, 'Full Circle' by Andrea Barber. If you're a fan of celebrity memoirs and personal growth stories, this one is a must-read, or in my case, a must-listen! I picked up the audiobook, and Andrea's narration truly brought her journey to life. Her candid reflections on her time on 'Full House' and 'Fuller House,' her struggles with anxiety, and finding her way back to herself felt incredibly authentic and inspiring. It’s not just a showbiz tell-all; it's a heartfelt exploration of identity and embracing change. For me, it was a comforting and uplifting listen during a dreary week, hence the solid 5/5 rating. It truly felt like listening to a friend share their story. Then, I moved onto 'The Other Passenger' by Louise Candlish. This psychological thriller promised a 'sucker-punch twist' as praised by Ruth Ware, and it certainly delivered a gripping, suspenseful ride. The story centers around a missing woman and the complex relationships between friends, leading to a web of secrets and suspicions. While I appreciate a good mystery that keeps me guessing, I felt some parts of the pacing dragged a little for me, and some character motivations weren't as clear as I'd hoped. It’s definitely a page-turner for fans of domestic thrillers, but it didn't quite hit that perfect 5-star mark for me, settling at a respectable 3/5. It's a great choice if you're looking for something to keep you engaged, but maybe not utterly blown away. Reading when you're not feeling 100% can be tricky. Sometimes you need something light and comforting, like 'Full Circle,' and other times you crave a distraction, like a twisty thriller. My go-to strategy is usually audiobooks when I'm too tired to hold a physical book, or something with short chapters that I can easily pick up and put down. What helps you read when you're feeling a bit under the weather? Now, I'm genuinely curious: what are you all diving into? Have you read 'Full Circle' or 'The Other Passenger'? What did you think? Or perhaps you have some recommendations for my next read? I'm always on the lookout for a compelling story, whether it's a heartwarming memoir, a nail-biting thriller, or something entirely different. Share your latest literary adventures in the comments below! I love discovering new books through your suggestions. Happy reading, everyone!
