for the girls who think they don't have a voice 😶
the no. one reason i procrastinated on making the content ‘I’ wanted to see was..
thinking i didn’t have anything valuable to say
i have always felt like the odd one, constantly misunderstood and ashamed of being both of those, so much so, i’d shut down and those negative thoughts would get the best of me every single time.
i yearned to be in spaces that felt real, where people didn’t shy away from owning their insecurities and being vocal about it.. for showing the journey and not just speaking in past tense.
but i couldn’t do that because i wasn’t that, ya know, “get somebody else to do it” because starting a space like that is not my calling.. or so i thought.
one thing about a calling is, it keeps coming back no matter how many excuses you tell yourself or the fact that you’re not prepared — it keeps coming back.
i didn’t want to get on this app, telling you what you should do, how doing a certain thing can change your life, etc. no, i wanted to use MY journey to help others even if it’s a little bit.
showcasing my struggles, my issues and insecurities because we all have them but most of us are afraid to ‘expose’ them (myself included).
so for the girls who feel they don’t have a voice — you do, we all do. it’s just up to us to actually use it, however it comes to us and for me, it’s creating content and i don’t regret that decision.
when you come across this account, i hope you feel seen, be encouraged and inspired..
because you matter here. 🫶🏽
