How I Layer My Bedding

When it comes to transitional seasons, sometimes I struggle with how to balance the cool mornings but warm nights. Both with dressing and with bedding!! Textures are super important to me. And to make it trickier, fun fact is I HATE a top sheet. So I have to be creative on how I layer.

First I have a light comforter on year round. In the summer, it's all I use.

In the winter, I add a twin sized comforter (on my queen sized bed) but laying horizontally instead of vertically. I lay this on the bottom of the bed, styled as a quilt almost.

Next I add a super fuzzy, cozy blanket ontop.

However, I do not like the color of this. SO, I add a super light and just decorative throw blanket ontop of the cozy one, to make it look more cohesive.

Since they are all on the bottom of the bed, I can pull whichever blanket I need from the pile, based on how warm or cold the night is. Instead of having them all tucked in, and needing to rip off a layer or get underneath more and move in the middle of the night.

That is how I have mastered my seasonal swamps.
