• 4 oz can/pouch tuna in water (I like Trader Joe’s skipjack )
• 1/8 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
• 4–5 cherry tomatoes, diced
• 1/8 cup cucumber, finely chopped
• eye ball in some sourkrout ( or chop up some kimchi)
• 1/8 red onion, finely minced
• Juice of 1 juicy lime
• Splash of lemon juice (about 1/4 lemon)
• Salt & pepper, to taste
• Everything bagel seasoning, to finish
Instructions:
Mix everything together in a bowl until well combined. Cover and let it sit overnight in the fridge—this lets the lime really soak in and deepen all the flavors. I like to add 1/2 cup brown rice to mine or to switch it up I’ll use Seite lime chips!

Using canned tuna such as Trader Joe's skipjack makes it super convenient, while the mix of fresh cilantro, diced cherry tomatoes, and finely chopped cucumber adds vibrant color and refreshing crunch. I love the twist of adding sourkrout or kimchi, which not only introduces a slight tang but also brings a probiotic boost that is great for digestion.
One personal tip is to let the mixture sit overnight in the fridge, allowing the lime and lemon juices to deeply marinate the ingredients. This step helps the flavors meld beautifully and creates that authentic ceviche zest. For a satisfying and wholesome bowl, I typically pair it with brown rice, which adds fiber and keeps the meal balanced. Alternatively, for a lighter snack or appetizer, serving it with lime-flavored seed crackers is a wonderful option.
Don't underestimate the finishing touch of everything bagel seasoning. It enhances the savory, garlicky undertones and provides a delightful crunch. This recipe is adaptable and quick, making it perfect for busy weeknights or a healthy lunch. Also, it's easy to customize — try swapping cilantro for parsley or adding diced avocado for creaminess. Overall, this ceviche tuna dish not only satisfies taste buds with its fresh, zingy profile but also aligns well with clean eating and gut-friendly ingredients.
