Can we give it up for day 7!? ✨
I have been obese for a good chunk of my life. Eating and drinking whatever I wanted and not really taking my health seriously. After having my twins 9 years ago I got diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure. Even with that info I still did what I wanted. After losing my mom last year I knew I had to fight to live for my own kids. So I will do whatever it takes because I want to live. #CapCut #embracevulnerability #Lemon8Diary #changingmylife #journey
Starting a health journey after years of neglect can be incredibly challenging, especially when chronic conditions like high blood pressure are involved. On day 7 of my transformation, I felt my legs almost giving out, but giving up was not an option. Motivated by my children’s support and the memory of my mom, I realized that every small step forward counts. One of the key lessons I learned early on is the power of mindset. When you embrace vulnerability and allow yourself to be honest about your struggles, you build resilience. Sharing your journey with others, whether through hashtags like #embracevulnerability or connecting with communities, can provide much-needed encouragement. Juicing and clean eating played a big role for me, helping to reduce inflammation and manage blood pressure. Though I craved old habits, seeing daily progress kept me going. I used tools like CapCut to document and motivate myself, reminding me that "I didn't come this far just to come this far." If you’re starting a similar journey, celebrate each milestone, even day 7. It’s a symbol of commitment and strength. Surround yourself with positive affirmations—like "Black Girl Motivation" and "Smile! It always works out in the end"—to keep your spirit high. Remember, with the right mindset and support, you truly can do anything.
Keep it up.
