For labor and postpartum

I’m gonna sound crazy for this one, but 🅽🅾︎ 🅿︎🅷🅾︎🅽🅴🆂! I know it’s not what any one wants to hear. BUT Hear me out though!😅

I found this out accidentally, maybe by Devine intervention or something! My phone broke while I was in early Labor before going to the hospital, and I wasn’t able to get it fixed until a few days postpartum. And I’m so grateful it happened 🩵. I was able to be sooo tuned in without the pressure of calls or text or pictures. We still managed to get some pictures, but most of our time just felt so connected and calm. I feel as an anxious girly it also helped me cope with not wanting to look up every single question or thing that came up. I feel like not having a phone for those first few days really just took off a lot of pressure and allowed us to be in our own little blissful bubble and honestly set the tone for not needing or really wanting to be on my phone around baby. 😌📵

... Read moreThe journey through labor and postpartum is a profound experience for many new mothers. In a world dominated by digital distractions, the choice to disconnect and refrain from phone use, even temporarily, can create a uniquely captivating environment for bonding with the newborn. Many mothers find themselves overwhelmed by the demands of technology, often missing out on memorable moments with their child. Embracing a phone-free experience allows mothers to immerse themselves in the joy of motherhood without the constant temptation of social media updates and notifications. Studies have shown that the early days of motherhood are crucial for the emotional and psychological well-being of both the mother and baby. Quality time spent together can foster strong emotional connections, helping both to navigate this significant transition. Mothers who embrace this time without the influence of their phones report feeling more present, relaxed, and connected to their newborn. This article encapsulates the spirit of those first few days postpartum, highlighting the beauty of forging deeper connections in a serene environment. Whether you're preparing for labor or already in the postpartum phase, consider taking a pause from your phone to fully embrace the incredible journey of motherhood.
