100 DAY RESET (day 2)
Since Sat was more of a stay at home and getting organized, Sun was a day of going out and hanging out with friends. I think in the future, I’ll choose a day on the weekends to relax and another to go out. I think the balance is nice to have.
I also went to the US Open and it’s my second time going! I’m actually proud that I didn’t end up buying merch because everything was $100+.
I actually tried to do this reset challenge since last year but always end up staring over because my progress is never perfect in my eyes. I always ended up dropping at day 5 and starting over because I didn’t eat 100% healthy that day or I wasn’t as productive as I wanted to be. Anyways, documenting my journey is keeping me accountable and making sure I finish strong :)
Thanks for reading and following me on this journey 🤍 #selfimprovement #healthylifestyle #Plog #resetchallenge
A successful long-term reset challenge requires realistic goal-setting and balance, which is evident in day 2 of this 100 Day Reset journey. Incorporating strategies such as planning the week, eating more meals at home, and limiting expensive or unhealthy purchases helps create sustainable progress. One effective habit highlighted is prioritizing home-prepared meals to save money and control nutrition. For example, the author enjoys crutless peanut butter & strawberry jam sandwiches and leftover soup from previous meals. This approach not only supports healthier eating but also minimizes impulsive spending on costly items outside. Financial mindfulness is another key element. Avoiding buying unnecessary merchandise, especially during outings like the US Open where items were priced above $100, illustrates conscious budgeting. This aligns well with the goal of self-improvement by fostering both physical health and financial discipline. The challenge also emphasizes the importance of social balance—choosing days to relax at home and other days to engage socially, which helps maintain mental wellbeing and reduces burnout. Allowing occasional treats such as dessert supports positive motivation while aiming to limit excessive sugar intake for overall health. Documenting progress plays a crucial role in accountability and motivation. Recognizing that perfection is not always attainable, but consistent effort and tracking can ensure finishing strong, reduces the likelihood of premature dropouts common in long-term challenges. This holistic approach—combining healthy eating, financial awareness, planned social interactions, and realistic expectations—is essential for anyone pursuing self-improvement, a healthy lifestyle, or productivity challenges like the 100 Day Reset.
