Ellie’s Story💗
A few months ago our Ellie got diagnosed with stage three mammary carcinoma. We were heartbroken at the thought of losing her. Her veterinarian recommended removal of her tumor and mammary gland. Unfortunately, they said that would only buy her a few months unless we went to a specialist. We searched for the nearest oncologist which happened to be a 4-5 hour drive from us.
For the last few months we’ve taken her on road trips to visit this oncologist. We make sure she’s pampered the whole drive so she enjoys the long rides. She lays in the back with her bone, treats, and plushie💗 She now recognizes the little inn we stay at and leads us to the door. For some reason she loves it there. We believe she thinks she’s on vacation🥺
After a long few months, Ellie’s scans came out clear this January. There were no signs of cancer 😭🙏🏻 She has two more precautionary rounds of chemo before we celebrate but our EllieBelly has been such a strong breast cancer fighter💗 Her energy is up and she can finally play with her siblings again. We are so blessed to see her happy again🥹
