Even spiderman hurts his back
We spend 8+ hours a day at our desks, but did you know your 'comfy' slouch is actually a silent energy thief?
Let's talk about Ergonomic
What is Ergonomic?
In simple terms, ergonomics is the science of designing a workspace, product, or system to fit the person using it, rather than forcing the person to adapt to the design.
It's comes from the Greek words ergon (work) and nomos (natural laws). Essentially, it’s about making sure your tools and environment work with your body, not against it.
The main objective of ergonomics is to reduce stress on the body and eliminate injuries associated with overuse, bad posture, and repetitive tasks (it means it will prevent ur body parts to expire soon)
In your mind right now.. Why it Matters?????
When ergonomics is ignored, it leads to MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders). These are injuries that affect your muscles, nerves, and joints over time.
Very simple and common examples,
1. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (from repetitive wrist movement).
2. Lower Back Pain (from poor sitting posture or improper lifting).
3. Tennis Elbow (from strained tendons).
Actually got a lot more than this.
What will happen when you are not following ergonomic rules
1. Herniated or "Slipped" Discs
2. Text Neck" & Loss of Natural Curve
3. Permanent Nerve Damage (Neuropathy)
4. Kyphosis (The "Permanent Hunch")
The scariest part of ignoring ergonomics is that muscles can be retrained, but bones and discs cannot easily be "fixed." Once a disc is worn down or a joint is arthritic from poor alignment, you are managing pain for the rest of your life rather than curing it
You can buy a new chair, but you can't buy a new spine. Here is what 'comfy' slouching is actually doing to your bones."
