The Laura Geller Baked Balance-N- Brighten Foundation in shade Golden Medium…. Man! I was so looking forward to trying this product after seeing so many reviews & posts on different social media platforms! I don’t necessarily want to say that I was disappointed, I guess I’m still unsure how I feel about it! It’s definitely not a full coverage foundation. Kind of sheer. And I’m thinking this is gunna be a product that I like more in the summer!

Tarte Bronzer in shade Park ave Princess… love it!! Definitely recommend! I hate when bronzers look orangeish once put on the skin, & this was the whole reason why I bought this product! I was told that it would not look orange at all && that was the truth!! It’s a mix of cool tones & warm tones & is the perfect shade for lighter complexions! And that packaging tho!! 😍 definitely a must try if you haven’t already!

If you’ve tried either of these products I would love to know what you thought of them! Let me know in the comments!

... Read moreBuilding on my initial thoughts about the Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Foundation, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how to truly make sheer formulas work for you. When I first tried it in the Golden Medium shade, I was definitely expecting more coverage, as many popular foundations today are full-on. But sometimes, less is more, especially if you're aiming for that 'no-makeup' makeup look or if your skin doesn't need heavy coverage daily. For those lighter coverage days, I've found that applying it with a damp beauty sponge can give a more natural, skin-like finish, allowing your natural skin to shine through while evening out tone. It also works beautifully when layered strategically, perhaps with a touch more just on areas where you need extra help, rather than a thick layer all over. Think of it less as a concealer and more as a skin enhancer. This foundation, like many lighter makeup products, really can come alive in the warmer months when we often prefer a less weighty feel on our skin. Now, let's talk more about bronzers, especially after my rave review for the Tarte Park Ave Princess! Finding the right bronzer can be a game-changer for your complexion, adding warmth and dimension without looking muddy or, worse, orange. My secret? Looking for bronzers described with 'cool tones' or 'neutral tones' if you have lighter skin. The Park Ave Princess bronzer truly masters that balance of warm and cool, creating a sun-kissed look that mimics a natural tan, not sun-damage. When applying bronzer from its compact, remember that placement is key. Instead of sweeping it all over, focus on the areas where the sun would naturally hit your face: your cheekbones, temples, and across the bridge of your nose. A fluffy brush helps diffuse the pressed powder seamlessly for a soft, sculpted effect. For anyone constantly searching for their perfect foundation or bronzer, my biggest tip is to always read 'Honest Reviews' critically, but ultimately, try things out for yourself. What works for one person's skin type or tone might not work for another. Don't be afraid to swatch shades on your jawline in natural light and wear a product for a few hours to see how it oxidizes and settles on your skin. These makeup products are an investment in your routine, and finding your holy grails takes a little trial and error. Whether it's a foundation that feels barely there or a bronzer that gives you that perfect glow, the journey to discovering your best self through makeup is always exciting!
