Hiiiii luvs! The Mexican Mocha from Black Rock Coffee is my ABSOLUTE favorite drink! I have a NESPRESSO machine now sooooo I tried to replicate it at home and all I can say is… you know what?! HELL YEAHHHH!!!
🤎✨😋
⭐️Overall rating: 1000000/10!
Ingredients:
✨ NESPRESSO ‘Active’ pod ~ this pod has notes of Vanilla and Almond
✨ Torani Dark Chocolate sauce
✨ Cinnamon
✨ Milk of your choice
✨ Whipped cream ~ totally optional!
Steps to follow:
🤎 To your espresso shot cup add 1 tablespoon of the Torani Dark Chocolate sauce and a dash of cinnamon
🤎 Brew espresso shot over your flavoring ~ the heat helps the chocolate sauce and cinnamon to fully incorporate into the coffee flavor.
🤎 Mix flavoring and espresso with a frother or spoon
🤎 Add 4-6 ounces of your choice of milk to a cup, pour espresso shot into milk ~ pouring your shot into the chilled milk helps chill your espresso without getting watered down and tasting dull.
🤎 Add ice to your cup of choice
🤎 Pour your coffee into the cup with ice and mix to completely chill your latte
🤎 Add your whipped cream and enjoy!
Happy sipping! 🤎✨😋

I totally get the obsession with Black Rock Coffee's Mexican Mocha – it's pure perfection! That feeling when you successfully recreate your favorite coffee shop drink right in your own kitchen? Absolutely unbeatable. It’s not just about saving a few bucks; it’s the joy of crafting something so delicious, exactly to your taste, whenever the craving hits. Let’s dive a little deeper into how you can perfect this iced coffee masterpiece. While the original recipe highlights the 'Active' Nespresso pod, don't be afraid to experiment! If you prefer a bolder coffee flavor to stand up to the rich dark chocolate sauce, try a Nespresso pod with a higher intensity, like a Ristretto or Arpeggio. For an extra layer of warmth, pods with caramel or even nutty notes can also be a delightful twist. The beauty of a Nespresso machine is its versatility, allowing you to fine-tune the espresso base for your perfect mocha. Now, about those essential ingredients. The Torani Dark Chocolate sauce is a solid choice because of its rich, deep flavor and smooth consistency, which blends beautifully into hot espresso. If you can't find Torani, look for other high-quality dark chocolate syrups – the richer the chocolate, the better your mocha will taste. And for the cinnamon, while ground cinnamon is key, consider using Ceylon cinnamon for a milder, sweeter flavor, or a pinch of Mexican cinnamon for a more aromatic and slightly spicier kick, truly enhancing that authentic Mexican mocha vibe. For an extra adventurous touch, a tiny, tiny pinch of cayenne pepper with the cinnamon can give it an unexpected, delightful warmth, just like traditional Mexican hot chocolate. When it comes to milk, the original recipe is flexible, but exploring your options can make a big difference. Since you might be using lactose-free reduced-fat milk (as seen in the OCR), that's a great starting point for a lighter option. However, oat milk or almond milk can add their own creamy texture and subtle flavors that complement the chocolate and coffee wonderfully. If you have a Nespresso milk frother, take advantage of it! Frothing your milk, even if it’s chilled, can add a luxurious, airy texture to your iced coffee that elevates the entire experience. Just make sure your milk is very cold before frothing for the best results. Don't underestimate the power of good ice! Using filtered water to make your ice can prevent any off-flavors from diluting your expertly crafted Black Rock Mexican Mocha. And of course, the whipped cream (or whipped topping, as seen in the OCR) is more than just a garnish; it adds a delightful creaminess and a touch of sweetness that completes the drink. Whether you go for store-bought or whip up your own with a splash of vanilla, it's a non-negotiable for that true coffee shop feel. Happy sipping, fellow coffee enthusiasts!
