You guys know I’m always on the hunt for that perfect everyday lipstick, and I recently picked up Rimmel’s 'Hella Pink' to give it an honest review. I've been seeing a lot of buzz around Rimmel lipsticks lately, especially shades like 'Pink Key Promise' and 'Iced Rose,' so I was curious to see how 'Hella Pink' would stack up. First Impressions & Swatch: Right off the bat, 'Hella Pink' is such a beautiful, wearable shade. On my skin, it pulls as a lovely pinkish-brown – truly a ‘my lips but better’ kind of color. The first thing that struck me during swatching was how incredibly smooth it applied. It just glides on without any tugging, which is a huge plus for me. And the pigmentation? Spot on! One swipe gives you a really good color payoff, which is exactly what I look for in a lipstick. It definitely lived up to the ‘pretty, smooth, pigmented’ description I'd heard about it. The Wear Test: Now for the real test – how does it wear throughout the day? I’ll be completely honest here: it’s not the most long-lasting lipstick I’ve ever tried. If you’re eating or drinking, you’ll definitely need to reapply. However, and this is a big however for me, it is not drying at all! My lips felt comfortable and hydrated, even after several hours of wear. This is a game-changer because many pigmented lipsticks tend to suck the moisture right out of my lips. So, while it needs touch-ups, those touch-ups are pleasant and don't leave your lips feeling crusty. That 'not drying' factor really sets it apart. Is it a '90s Baby' Vibe? Speaking of other popular shades, I know many of you are constantly looking for lipsticks that give that '90s baby' aesthetic. While 'Hella Pink' isn't a deep brown, it definitely has a hint of that muted, understated coolness that defines the '90s look. It's a more modern, pink-leaning take on that classic era, making it super versatile for everyday wear without feeling too retro if that's not your full vibe. How Does it Compare? For those of you who also love the natural-looking nudes, I’ve heard 'L'Oréal Fairest Nude 800' mentioned a lot. While I haven't personally tried that specific L'Oréal shade, if you're into those softer, barely-there but enhancing colors, 'Hella Pink' definitely fits into that category with its lovely pinkish-brown tone. It’s got enough depth to define your lips but stays natural enough for any occasion. And if you're debating between this and Rimmel's 'Pink Key Promise' or 'Iced Rose,' I'd say 'Hella Pink' offers a fantastic middle ground – not too cool, not too warm, just perfectly balanced. Overall Verdict (My 5-Star Rating!): Considering its beautiful color, smooth application, high pigmentation, and incredibly comfortable, non-drying formula, I'd honestly give Rimmel's 'Hella Pink' a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! The only small downside is the longevity, but the comfort totally makes up for it. It's become my go-to for a quick, polished look. If you’re looking for an affordable, pretty, and comfortable everyday lipstick, you absolutely need to try 'Hella Pink'. Trust me, your lips will thank you!
