It’s become my absolute go-to for staying energized and hydrated, whether I've just finished a workout or simply need a pick-me-up on a hot day. For years, I relied on commercial sports drinks to replenish electrolytes, but I always felt a little wary about the added sugars, artificial colors, and flavors. Then, a friend introduced me to the concept of using natural ingredients, and my hydration game completely changed! The combination of coconut water with lemon and a pinch of sea salt delivers a fantastic blend of natural electrolytes that mimic what your body loses through sweat, but in a much purer form. Coconut water is naturally rich in potassium, while the sea salt provides essential sodium and other trace minerals. The fresh lemon not only brightens the flavor but also adds a dose of Vitamin C, making it an all-around health booster. Making your own natural electrolyte drink is incredibly simple. Here’s my favorite way to prepare it: Ingredients: 1 cup (about 240ml) fresh, unsweetened coconut water (look for brands that are 100% pure coconut water, not from concentrate). Juice of half a fresh lemon (about 1-2 tablespoons). A tiny pinch of high-quality sea salt (Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt works wonderfully for their mineral content).
