My first 3 crochet projects

My boyfriend’s sister gifted me the pineapple kit for Christmas and that’s where I started. It took some time learning but was super fun! I ordered more woobles right away! Then I found a tutorial for the wall hanging. Then my teensy woobles got delivered and I chose to do the narwhal first.

... Read moreMy crochet journey truly took off with that first Woobles pineapple kit my boyfriend's sister gifted me. If you're a complete beginner like I was, I cannot recommend Woobles enough! The pre-started pieces and clear video tutorials are game-changers. I remember feeling so intimidated by crochet, but the Woobles method broke it down into manageable steps. My little crocheted pineapple, affectionately named 'PINYA,' was my first tangible success. Getting the tension right was a bit of a challenge initially, but seeing his smiling face emerge was incredibly motivating! After that, I was hooked and immediately ordered more Woobles. My second Woobles adventure was with the 'TEENSY WEENSY NARWHAL.' This little blue and white narwhal with its yellow horn was slightly more intricate than the pineapple, but by then, I had gained a bit more confidence. It really solidified my basic amigurumi skills. The joy of finishing a project and having a cute, cuddly creation in my hands is just unmatched. Woobles truly simplifies the learning curve, making it accessible and fun, which is crucial when you're just starting out and don't want to get overwhelmed. After conquering two adorable Woobles, I felt ready to branch out. That's when I found a fantastic tutorial for a green crochet vine wall hanging. This was a completely different experience from the amigurumi kits. Instead of a 3D toy, I was creating a decorative piece for my home! I used a lovely soft green yarn, and seeing each individual leaf take shape was so satisfying. The OCR recognized 'A green crochet vine wall hanging, suspended from a wooden stick,' and that's exactly what it became! I spent a good portion of a weekend (just like the overlay hinted, 'All in a weekend') meticulously crocheting those leaves and then attaching them to a wooden stick. The finished piece now hangs beautifully on my grey wall, adding a touch of handmade charm and greenery to my space. It truly transformed a plain wall into something special. For anyone considering trying out a crochet leaf wall hanging, I'd say go for it! It's a wonderful way to practice different stitches and create something beautiful without the pressure of perfect shaping that amigurumi sometimes requires. You can customize the length, the number of leaves, and even the shades of green to match your decor. It’s been so rewarding to look at my creations, from my first little pineapple to the elegant vine on my wall. It just goes to show what you can achieve with a bit of patience and a good tutorial!
