BABY BATH TIME: WHAT DO YOU REALLY NEED?
First off, of course every parent should get whatever they feel they want for their baby! That said, I feel like there are so many things advertised that are targeted towards babies to sell to moms that can make it really overwhelming when preparing for a baby and some of these things really aren’t necessary in my opinion/experience :)
Starting off with the thing that saves my life on a daily basis, the knee/elbow pads: ABSOLUTELY need. Giving baths without this is painful 😅. When I put this down it made giving my baby a bath sooo much more enjoyable.
Baby Wash: Honestly, I am not a dermatologist so I don’t know all about this but I am airing on the side of caution with this one at least from what I have read because i’ve seen some really aggressive chemicals put in a lot of normal body washes (for adults)
Baby Rinser: We have only used this a handful of times. My daughter much more prefers a colorful cup, this is really like an expensive cup that takes up more space 😂
Baby Wash Cloths: I have used both normal wash cloths and baby wash cloths, and i’ve found that normal wash cloths are just too thick to get in the little rolls & creases easily, whereas the baby wash cloths are much thinner.
Baby Towels: Absolutely not. So thin and the whole thing is soaking wet before i’m even halfway done drying her. Then she ends up very cold and angry 🫠. However, the hooded ones are super cute so can’t hurt to have one or two for the pics lol
Scrubber: I wouldn’t say this is like 100% necessary since a wash cloth can do mostly anything the scrubber can, but this was really helpful when my baby had some cradle cap as a newborn and we still use it for her (very little amount of) hair. She loves it.
Baby Bath Tub: I cannot recommend the Angel Care tub enough. We were using the 3 stage tub at first which works fine, but she liked this one so much more for some reason and I love it because it’s light and easy to clean & move around etc.

Ultimately, by selecting truly necessary items, bath time can be a joyful bonding experience for both parents and their little ones.
I use the Frida baby shower brush for my baby’s head/hair and the brushing helps promote hair growth lol I even got a shower brush for myself cause of the postpartum hair loss got bad
