🌸Heyy yall🌸
I’ve learned through experience how crucial it is to set clear boundaries with people who expect you to always put their needs first but do not value your time or feelings in return. It can be emotionally exhausting to constantly prioritize someone who puts you last without hesitation. One thing I realized is that recognizing these one-sided relationships early can save you from unnecessary stress and disappointment. When you keep accommodating others at your own expense, it often leads to feelings of resentment and burnout. Personally, I found that saying no and prioritizing my own needs didn’t make me selfish—it made me stronger. It’s about self-respect and preserving your mental health. Also, the people who truly care about you will naturally reciprocate kindness and consideration without you having to remind them. So, if you notice someone repeatedly putting their needs ahead of yours without acknowledgment or effort, it might be time to distance yourself. It’s okay to prioritize yourself because you deserve respect and care just as much as anyone else. Trusting your instincts when interactions feel one-sided is important. Sometimes, you have to honor your feelings and walk away to protect your peace. Prioritizing yourself is not only about saying no to others but also about saying yes to your own happiness and growth.
