🌸Heyy yall🌸
I want to share something important from my own experience about moving on and respecting the boundaries that life sets for us. Sometimes, we hold on to memories so tightly that we feel tempted to reconnect with people or revisit parts of our past that have been closed off for a reason. But I’ve learned that not every door that opens should be walked through again. There were times when I reminisced about the fun and joy wrapped up in old friendships or relationships—the trips, the laughs, the special moments like shopping together or simply chatting about life. It’s natural to miss those days, and it doesn't mean you don’t value them. However, when those doors have been closed—sometimes by divine design or natural course—it’s important to respect that closure. Reopening those doors often brings more pain and confusion than peace. The reasons kept people out of your life or moved you away from certain connections are usually rooted in growth, self-preservation, or protection against harm. Sometimes, the hardest but most loving thing you can do for yourself is to embrace that closure, learn from the past, and move forward without looking back. Through my journey, I realized that memories are meant to be cherished but not relived. They should be like beautiful photos in an album—something to smile about but not a temptation to turn back time. Holding on to hope for reuniting with past people might delay your healing and make it harder to welcome new, healthy relationships that are meant for your present and future. So if you’re struggling with the urge to reopen a door that’s been shut, remember: it's okay to feel nostalgic. But don’t let those memories deceive you into reopening a chapter that was closed for your own well-being. Trust that the path ahead holds better and brighter opportunities, and honor the wisdom in the doors that remain firmly closed.
