My story:
Hi I’m Aaron, I’m 22, and I’m giving myself 67 days to build a video marketing agency from $0 to $10k.
3rd yr dental school begins 19 Jan 2026 and today I just had my last exam for 2nd yr (13/11/25). I have a passion for making videos and editing which is why I want to do this. I also don’t want to work some part time job where I’m working for someone else (I’ve done enough of that since 13yo). I want to create something of my own, by myself, and I want to document the entire journey so I can look back on it one day and even show my future kids. If I can pull this off, hopefully I’ll be able to inspire other uni students to start their dream side hustle while still in uni. Whether or not I achieve this, I’ll post a vlog every single day without fail, even after the 67 days are up.
What even is a video marketing agency? Basically I’m gonna make videos for the social media accounts for businesses like dentists who want to build their personal brand, car dealerships, luxury custom home builders, etc. to help them get more exposure and hence more clients.
What about dentistry? I’m gonna try balance both next year now and see how I go. Hopefully one day I can fully automate my agency.

Starting a video marketing agency while pursuing a demanding degree like dentistry may seem daunting, but it’s an inspiring example of how young entrepreneurs can successfully balance multiple ambitions. Aaron’s plan to build a marketing business that serves niches such as dentists, car dealerships, and luxury custom home builders is a smart approach, especially since these industries benefit greatly from strong social media presence and personalized video content. Video marketing helps businesses highlight their unique services and build trust with potential clients through engaging storytelling. For dentists, this can include showcasing patient testimonials, behind-the-scenes office tours, or educational content about oral health, which can significantly boost their personal brand online. As Aaron has noted, targeting dentists as part of his clientele is a promising market with steady demand. Documenting his growth journey publicly via daily vlogs not only provides accountability but also creates valuable authentic content for his emerging brand. This approach aligns well with Google’s E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles, as sharing real experiences enhances credibility and connects with viewers on a human level. Balancing dental school and entrepreneurship requires effective time management, discipline, and a clear vision, but Aaron’s commitment to posting daily content regardless of outcome demonstrates resilience—a key trait for any successful entrepreneur. Automating aspects of the agency in the future could further optimize his workflow, allowing him to focus on his studies while maintaining steady business growth. For university students aiming to launch side hustles, Aaron’s story underscores the importance of pursuing passions early and leveraging digital skills to build personal brands. Whether creating videos for local businesses or exploring other digital marketing avenues, students can learn from Aaron’s model of combining education with entrepreneurship to create long-term opportunities beyond traditional part-time jobs. If you’re inspired by Aaron’s journey, consider how video marketing or other digital skills can complement your field of study or interests. Starting small, identifying niche markets, and consistently sharing your progress can set the foundation for a thriving side business while you continue your formal education.
