Unconditional love is not something a person performs.
It is what remains when the one trying to love is seen through.
The sun does not decide to shine. A flower does not practice fragrance. The heart of existence does not choose who is worthy of its light.
Love is the natural radiance of the Self when the false center collapses.
As long as love belongs to “me,” it becomes a bargain. I love if I am agreed with. I love if I am seen correctly. I love if the other protects my image, my wound, my story, my need to be right.
That is attachment wearing sacred language.
Unconditional love begins where the separate self ends.
This is non-duality.
The same Awareness looks through every face. The same Life breathes through saint and stranger, child and enemy, sinner and sage. The same Being appears as the one embraced and the one resisted.
Jesus pointed here when he spoke of loving enemies, forgiving without measure, serving the least of these, and finding the Kingdom within.
Buddha pointed here when he saw through the fixed self and revealed compassion for all beings.
Krishna pointed here when he spoke of seeing the same Self in all, acting without selfish grasping, and offering every action into the Divine.
Different mouths. One truth.
Unconditional love is not weakness. It is the end of making an enemy in the heart.
Clear boundaries may appear. Truth may be spoken. Harm may be refused. Distance may be needed. Still, no being is reduced to a wound, a role, a mistake, or a threat.
Love is no longer a mood.
No longer a reward.
No longer a spiritual performance.
Love is reality recognizing itself.
Non-duality is not an idea about oneness.
It is existence loving itself through every temporary form, with no separate lover left to claim it.
