「ジルスチュアートの鏡って可愛いけど、大きさが分からなくて選べない…」と思って、私も買う前にかなり迷いました。結論から言うと、同じ“コンパクトミラー”でも形が違うだけで体感のサイズ感（見える範囲・持ちやすさ・ポーチでの収まり）がけっこう変わります。 まず“大きさ”で一番失敗しにくい確認ポイントは、①ポーチの内寸（横幅）②ミラーを開いた時の置き場所③一度に映したい範囲（片目だけか、両目＋眉までか）です。私は小さめポーチ派なので「薄い・角が引っかからない・開閉がスムーズ」かを重視しました。 1️⃣コンパクトミラー IV（八角形）は、見た目の存在感が強いぶん「大きいのかな？」と感じやすいけど、実際は“フチのカッティングがある分、手に持ったときに大きく見える”タイプ。鏡面の見え方はしっかりしていて、外出先で顔全体のバランスを見たい日に向きます。ただ、ポーチの中で角が他の物に当たりやすいので、私は巾着ポーチより仕切りのあるポーチの方が収まりが良かったです。 2️⃣コンパクト ミラー（自立タイプ）は、“大きさ”以上に便利さが勝つ子。立てて使えるので、机がある場所なら両手が空いてメイク直しが一気に楽になります。鏡を手で持たなくていい分、サイズが少ししっかりしていても体感は軽め。カフェや職場のパウダールームで使う人におすすめです。 3️⃣コンパクトミラー 2（楕円）は、同じコンパクト系でも角がない分ポーチ当たりが優しくて、体感では一番“持ち歩きやすい大きさ”。鏡面も自然に顔の中心が映るので、リップやチークの確認がしやすかったです。プレゼントで迷ったら、この形がいちばん好みが割れにくい気がします。 4️⃣ハンドミラーは持ち運びというより、おうち用・ドレッサー用の“大きさ”。顔だけじゃなくヘアも見やすいので、前髪セットや巻き髪の確認に便利でした。置くだけで可愛いので、私は撮影前の身だしなみ用に出しっぱなしにしています。 最後に、購入前の小ワザ。自分のスマホ（縦の長さ）や普段使うパウダー（コンパクトの直径）と比べてイメージすると、公式のサイズ表記がなくても“大きさ”の感覚が掴みやすいです。迷っている人は、使う場所（外・家）とポーチのサイズから逆算して選ぶと失敗しにくいですよ。
