Rating my empties form 1 to 5

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my latest empties, and you know some products were absolute stars while others were a total flop! But how do you decide what's genuinely worth your hard-earned money when you're bombarded with new launches every day? For me, empties reviews like mine are just the starting point. I've learned a ton about spotting value and figuring out what my skin truly needs, especially when those tempting products are promising the world. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is to look beyond the pretty packaging and marketing claims. A "glow serum" might sound amazing, but if I "did not see any extra glow or any other benefits" after finishing the bottle, it tells me it wasn't worth the hype. Instead, I now dive deep into the ingredient list. Is it packed with actives, or mostly fillers? For instance, with my "brightening vitamin C cream," even if it had a "strange smell" or was "potentially irritating," if the Vitamin C content was potent and stable, it might still have value for someone else. But for me, the irritation was a deal-breaker. Another crucial factor is how a product feels and performs on my skin. That "priming SPF tube" might have sounded good, but if "the color was too glowy for my liking" and "it feels like it just sits on top of my skin," then it’s not for me, no matter how popular it is. Texture, absorption, and overall comfort are huge. Conversely, the "hand cream" with its "very cute bottle" felt "lightweight, nice fragrance," and was "hydrating," but ultimately I found it "way overpriced" for the hydration it delivered. It taught me that sometimes, a pleasant experience doesn't equate to good value. I also pay close attention to targeted solutions. My "blemish pad container" was a revelation! I "love these," used them "every morning," and genuinely felt my "skin became brighter" with "pigmentation less noticeable." That's a clear win in terms of efficacy and value. On the flip side, a "soothing repair gel cream" I used "after applying retinol or on days when my skin felt irritated" was just "okay" and "wouldn't really say it's very calming." It didn't meet its core promise, which means it wasn't a smart buy for soothing. When it comes to getting the best value, I almost always look for deals and compare prices. Why pay full price if you don't have to? Finding a "super cheap and effective eye patch" at a local store, like I did, was a huge win. It showed me that high quality doesn't always mean a high price tag. I also recommend checking out travel sizes or samples before committing to a full-sized product, especially for something pricier. This way, you can see how it interacts with your skin without the big financial commitment. Always patch test new products, especially if your skin tends to be sensitive or acne-prone like mine. Listening to your skin is the ultimate evaluation tool. By combining thorough ingredient research, understanding my skin's reactions, and keeping an eye out for smart buys, I ensure my skincare routine is both effective and budget-friendly.
