Tropical Smoothie Recipe | Summer Pineapple Drink

How to make an *aesthetic* looking smoothie out of basic ingredients! The appearance was inspired by Erewhon’s famous smoothies. You can whatever fruit you’d like, but I used what I had on hand.

Ingredients:

• Strawberries

• Pineapple

• Raspberries

• 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (depending on how much you’d like)

• Honey

• (Optional) additional fruits

• (Optional) vanilla extract

Directions:

1. In a blender, add fresh or thawed fruit. Blend until very smooth.

2. In a bowl, mix together Greek yogurt with honey and vanilla extract (optional). Taste and add more honey if you’d like it sweeter.

3. On the interior of a clear cup, spread small amounts of the Greek yogurt mixture onto the sides.

4. Fill the cup with a thin layer of the blended fruit. Add dollops of the Greek yogurt mixture on top of the layer. Repeat.

Additional notes: opting for fresh or thawed fruits will prevent the entire drink from being too thick. If you would like a thinner consistency, you can add a small amount milk to the Greek yogurt.

... Read moreCreating the perfect tropical smoothie is about balancing flavors and textures. Start by selecting the best fruits; strawberries, pineapples, and raspberries are excellent choices. These fruits not only add vibrant colors but also come packed with vitamins and nutrition, making your drink a healthy option. Greek yogurt plays a crucial role, providing a creamy consistency and a protein boost. For those with a sweet tooth, honey can enhance the flavor without overpowering the fruit's natural sweetness. When blending, consider the thickness of your smoothie. If you prefer a lighter beverage, you can adjust the consistency by adding a splash of milk to the yogurt. Mixing in a subtle hint of vanilla extract further elevates the flavor profile. Presentation is key—take your time to layer the yogurt and blended fruit in a clear glass for an Instagram-worthy finish. This not only makes for a beautiful visual but also allows your friends and family to appreciate the artistry of your drink. Whether you're serving guests or just treating yourself, this smoothie is perfect for summer gatherings, breakfast, or a refreshing snack. Don't hesitate to experiment with different fruit combinations or additional ingredients to find your perfect version of this tropical delight!
