This was a pleasant surprise, as 70 calories is quite low for a dessert item. It makes it feel like a lighter indulgence, which could be a pro for many. However, that low calorie count, combined with the small portion, further emphasizes the price-to-quantity ratio. You're definitely paying for the novelty and the brand recognition. When comparing it to other Taco Bell frozen offerings, like the Baja Blast Freeze, this gelato (or shaved ice-like treat) offers a different texture profile. The Freeze is purely a drinkable slush, while the gelato gives you a spoonable experience, albeit one that quickly becomes drinkable. If you're looking for a quick, intense burst of that specific Baja Blast flavor and don't mind the small size or the non-traditional 'gelato' texture, then it might be worth a one-time try, perhaps even with a coupon. But for a substantial, creamy dessert, you might want to explore other options.
