Creamy & Spicy Kimchi Pasta
Made this tonight for me and my boyfriend and it was delicious!! I absolutely love kimchi and wanted to incorporate into pasta. This is spicy, tangy, and super creamy.
Ingredients:
• Kimchi, chopped
• White onion, diced
• Pasta
• Gochujang paste or sauce
• Heavy cream
• Garlic, minced
Directions:
1. Prepare pasta according to instructions on box.
2. Cook white onion over medium heat. I used about 1/4 of a whole onion.
3. Once onion turns translucent, add minced garlic.
3. Cut kimchi into small pieces (I used kitchen scissors to do this). Add kimchi to the pan and cook.
4. Add heavy cream and a little bit of Gochujang. Gently mix.
5. Add pasta and mix. Serve with green onions and a little Parmesan/moz blend cheese. Enjoy!

If you're a fan of bold flavors and looking to spice up your pasta nights, creamy spicy kimchi pasta is a fantastic choice to try. Kimchi adds an unforgettable tang and a subtle fermented depth, while gochujang paste provides a vibrant heat that perfectly complements the creaminess of heavy cream. When making this dish, I find it helpful to use kitchen scissors to finely chop the kimchi, ensuring the flavors spread evenly throughout the pasta. Cooking the white onions until translucent before adding garlic and kimchi builds a lovely savory base. The gochujang can be adjusted in amount to suit your preferred spice level; start small and add more as you taste. For texture and richness, finishing the dish with a sprinkle of parmesan or mozzarella blend cheese adds a melted, savory topping that balances the heat and tang. Green onions not only add color but also a fresh bite that lifts the flavors. This recipe is especially comforting on chilly days, delivering warmth and zest in every bite. Pair it with a simple side salad or steamed veggies to create a balanced meal. Incorporating kimchi into pasta may seem unconventional at first, but once you try this creamy, spicy combination, it becomes a go-to for quick dinners with a Korean twist. Plus, it's an easy way to diversify your pasta repertoire and enjoy fermented foods packed with probiotics. Catch the aroma as you cook—the savory scent of sautéed onions, garlic, and kimchi combined with the richness of creaminess is truly inviting. Whether cooking for yourself or sharing with loved ones, this unique fusion dish is sure to impress with its bold, layered flavors.
