Olaplex No 7 Bonding Oil vs ELF Gloss Mode Treatment Oil! Both of these claim to provide 450° of heat protection, soften, smooth & tame frizz. Olaplex repairs damage with their patented bond repair ingredient, while ELF obviously does not have that bond repair ingredient & just claims to strengthen hair. So ELF isn’t an actual dupe of Olaplex in that sense, but it does have the same claims and look… identical. So clearly it was inspired by Olaplex. Can you tell a difference between them visually? Will do a deep dive comparison review with my final thoughts soon!

On the other hand, while ELF Gloss Mode Treatment Oil doesn't have the bond-repairing component, it offers a surprisingly effective smoothing and strengthening effect at a fraction of the price ($10 compared to Olaplex's $32). For users with relatively healthy hair or looking for a budget-friendly option to add shine and tame flyaways, ELF provides great cosmetic benefits. The texture and scent are also very appealing, making it a pleasant part of my daily routine.
